Hola ! I’m David. I am a professional visual designer currently based in Berlin. My focus is Branding and User Interface Design. After my bachelor studies and some years working as a designer for the advertising industry in my hometown (Trujillo) and Lima (capital city) respectively, I decided to leave and start new professional ventures abroad. By 2016, I moved to Munich and worked there as an interactive designer. By mid 2017, moved to Cologne to study my Masters degree in Digital Marketing. By the end of 2018, I after living in Berlin in the summertime, I decided to come back and move in. Since then I live here.  

In the beginning of my career, I started working as an illustrator and also worked as a creative designer in marketing and various areas such as Web, Video, and Motion Design. In recent years, I’ve been working on Content Strategy and Creation (in German and English) for different digital channels such as websites, landing pages, and social media platforms. 

I am a marketing professional with a strong focus on Branding and Content Creation. With a good understanding of digital marketing concepts and content creation skills, I try to connect strategy and creativity in any project  I am involved. Since I worked for different industries, I keep myself updated with the latest industry trends as well as diverse media-related topics.

Personally, I care about sustainability and using circular economy principles to combat the climate crisis. Of particular note is my keen interest in user experience, which has given me a better understanding of the industries I have worked in. By using the Design Thinking method in some of my tasks, I try to maintain a structured approach. This is relevant when it comes to user journey maps and effectively promoting a product in digital marketing. I also love digital solutions in all areas and that is why I have a great affinity for technological innovations.

Within the framework of the "Strategic Digital Marketing" course, we were assigned to develop in the final stage a whitepaper on a significant digital trend. The topic "The use of ChatGPT in content marketing" fit my interests and my approach to my professional career. In this work I focused on specific topics, referring to the advantages of this artificial intelligence tool, the opportunities of its use in Social Media, E-mail Marketing, content optimization (SEO), the risks and its future challenges. After finishing this work, I was able to share it with the members of my group. Together we reflected on the strengths and different opinions towards this topic, which has a lot of resonance nowadays. It was a great experience and I am glad that I was able to be part of this enthusiastic group of professionals in this course given by OMR UpSkill.
